A J Balukoff
A J Balukoff and his wife, Susie, raised eight children, who are now adults and contributing citizens in their communities. A J is retired, but was a Certified Public Accountant during his career. He is currently one of the owners of the Grove Hotel, Hotel 43, The Courtyard, ICCU Arena, and the Idaho Steelheads.
A J was a member of the Boise School Board for twenty-one years, the Boise Public Library Board for ten years, and he has served on the boards of most of the performing arts organizations in Boise, as well as the Boise State University Foundation, the Idaho State University Foundation, and the St. Luke’s Health System. He is also an Advisory Board member of the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights.
When not attending board meetings, A J likes to run, hike, ride his mountain bike, and go fishing. He is also an avid reader. He has many favorite books, but one that made a lasting impression is Les Misérables.
