We hope you’ll join us for “The Business of Books” workshop with Alli Frank on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 6 PM - 9 PM at The Esther Simplot Performing Arts Academy in the board room (516 S. 9th, Boise, ID).

Writing is only half the challenge of bringing books to readers. What are the head-scratching next steps to crack the world of publishing? Do I need an agent? How do I write a query letter? What determines the publishing avenue that would be best for my goals? Book PR and marketing, how does it all work? Learn the side of the industry that is rarely talked about, but arguably most important. 

Date and Location

The writing workshop will take place on Thursday, November 14, from 6 PM to 9 PM at The Esther Simplot Performing Arts Academy in the board room (516 S. 9th, Boise, ID).

Cost

$35 for non-members or $30 for Members

Alli Frank

Alli Frank has worked in education as a teacher and assistant head of school for over 20 years. She is the co-author, with Asha Youmans, of Tiny Imperfections, Never Meant to Meet You, The Better Half, and Boss Lady, and the upcoming On Being Jewish Now, available October 2024. Tiny Imperfections is being adapted into a television show by Lionsgate TV. A graduate of Cornell and Stanford University, Alli lives in Sun Valley, Idaho with her husband and two daughters.
