Pack up your lawn chairs and blankets, and join us for a student reading of poetry and prose to celebrate the publication of CAMBIA, The Cabin's annual anthology of selected works from our Writers In the Schools program (WITS).
Student authors will receive a complimentary copy of the anthology and have the opportunity to read their work aloud.
Teachers, families, and friends welcome!
Light snacks and refreshments will be served.

Wednesday, May 8th, at the Gene Harris Bandshell inside Julia Davis Park (150 N. Capitol Blvd. 83702)
Schedule
5:30 - 6 PM: “Doors” open at 5:30 PM. Published WITS writers in grades 3 - 6 are encouraged to arrive early, pick up their copy of CAMBIA, and find a seat on the lawn.
6 - 7:15 PM: Published WITS students in grades 3 - 6 read their work.
7:30 - 8:30 PM: Published WITS students in grades 7 - 12* pick up their copy of CAMBIA and read their work.
*Students in grades 7 - 12 can arrive earlier than 7:30, though seating may be limited until the first session ends.
Please note: In the event of rain or snow (hey, it could happen!), the reading will be canceled and the book distribution will take place in the lobby of The Cabin (801 S Capitol Blvd, Boise, ID 83702). Check back here for updates.

WITS supports creative writing enrichment in grades 3 - 12 throughout the Treasure Valley. During the school year, local professional creative writers lead writing residencies at schools and juvenile detention centers.
