Danielle Strollo

After graduating from Dartmouth College in 2007, Danielle, Board Vice President, spent seven years in non-profit fundraising and communications, including for education and the arts at KQED in San Francisco. In 2014, after a six-month mid-career sabbatical traveling in southeast Asia, she started a second career in advertising here in Boise. She then thought, third time's the charm, and made the decision to combine her lifelong interests in history and government by pursuing a career in the law.

During law school at the University of Idaho, she stayed true to her do-gooder roots by volunteering and encouraging others to do the same, ultimately receiving the Diversity and Human Rights Award for significant contributions to the inclusive culture of the law school community. She graduated cum laude in 2021, and is now building a law practice helping clients secure land entitlements and navigate real estate transactions.

Danielle joined the board of The Cabin in 2023 in order to dust off her fundraising expertise to benefit a critical resource for writers and readers in the Boise area. Though she spends her work time surrounded by code books no one wants to read, she loves spending her personal time with people who read for pleasure and write things others will actually enjoy.

Book that changed my life: Southeast Asia on a Shoestring, by Lonely Planet. If I had never picked up this travel guide, I never would have taken the life-changing journey I did, or had the courage to move and start my life over again.
