Front Desk Findings

Hello everyone, Jackie here. Along with the help of two fellow interns, I have been working the front desk. Now two weeks into the summer, I am beginning to find my footing and feel out my place at The Cabin. Learning my duties and responsibilities has been interesting. As an intern at the front desk, there is a great deal of freedom in choosing what projects will be worked on each day. So far, I have been helping with updating records online that date back to the beginning of The Cabin as an institution. In addition, I have been answering the phone, takIMG_5444ing registrations, and helping with anything else that pops up.With this internship, I hope to learn more about what it is like to work with a successful nonprofit. I’m really interested in finding out more about the behind the scenes action. The Cabin is shaping up to be a really great place for me to learn and explore the intricacies of working at a local nonprofit. What makes this experience even better, is the fact that I have the opportunity to work with people that are also passionate about reading and writing.I feel like this summer is shaping up to be pretty awesome. I’m excited to what the rest my time here will bring. Jackie, intern from Boise State UniversityLeave a comment
