We hope you'll join Boise City Writer-in-Residence Natalie Disney on Wednesday, February 7, 6 p.m. — 7:30 p.m. at the Library! Hillcrest (5246 W Overland Rd.) for "The Power of Imagery: Writing with Sensory Language” writing workshop.
We all experience the world around us through the senses, and imagery uses sensory language to paint a picture with words. Imagery allows us to express things more meaningfully, transforming black-and-white memories and ideas into intense color. And it’s a tool that can cut to the heart of the matter in every kind of writing.
In this creative writing workshop for writers of any level or genre, participants will explore the power of imagery through guided reading and writing activities.
No registration is required to participate, but space is limited. This workshop is geared toward adults, but all ages are welcome. Participants under the age of 14 are to be accompanied by an adult. Participants are encouraged to bring their own writing materials, such as a notebook, pencil, or laptop.
