We live in bodies, so why are they difficult to write about? Discover who does it best and why while writing about body experience, sensation, and accessibility.
In this workshop we will focus on the question "What makes writing about the body feel real?"
Our bodies are our home, yet we all struggle to form words of our experience in them. How do we communicate what we feel about body sensations and how do we make our experience feel realistic to others? What does it mean to be, and separately, to be one in a body? In this class, we will read authors who write about the body well and learn to create authentic and realistic work. All genres and hybrids are welcome!
COVID-19 Policy
In light of the extremely low positivity rate (the lowest since Idaho's first positive case in March 2020), we will no longer be requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend our writing workshops. Masks are optional but encouraged. In the event of a future spike in cases, we will heed the guidance of local and national public health organizations.
