Create 3 new flash drafts using guided prompts to help us pull from sensory memory, lean-in to natural turns of the story, and find appropriate endings.
This two-hour session will be dedicated to thinking about the ways we motivate ourselves to generate new material. Celeste Ng has referred to the drafting process as “making clay.” We can sculpt that clay later, but first we must generate the material to work with. In this two-hour workshop, we will create 3 new flash drafts using guided prompts to help us pull from sensory memory, lean into natural turns of the story, and find appropriate endings.
This workshop will be held online. You must have the Zoom app downloaded and a reliable internet connection to access your class meetings. You will receive the information to access your Zoom classroom one week before the start of your workshop — check your spam folders if you don’t see it!
