Do you dream of being an author? Have you always wanted to write your own full-length novel, but the task was just too intimidating? This class is for you.
This workshop will feature a series of lectures, supplemented by class discussion, on the fundamentals of novel writing: plotting, characterization, dialogue, setting, etc. Emphasis will be given to the practical nuts and bolts of the process, not just refinement of prose. The second half of the workshop will then put these skills into practice as we offer critique and accountability for our peers, providing the support we all need when finishing our first book.
This workshop is specifically designed for aspiring science fiction and fantasy authors, but writers of all favors of genre fiction are welcome.
